Abstract
The article presents literary criticism of the book "Lahore With Love: Growing Up With Girlfriends Pakistani-Style" by Fawzia Afzal-Khan. It references the article "Fantasy Echo: History and the Construction of Identity" by historian Joan Wallach Scott. Particular focus is given to a psychoanalytic reading of Afzak-Khan's memoir which explores the role of autobiography in the cultural representation of Muslim women's lives. Topics discussed include oppression, Islam, and feminism.
