Abstract

The article presents some fragments from the 2011 season of the renewed excavations at Karkemish, conducted by the University of Bologna in collaboration with Istanbul University, almost exactly 100 years after the commencement of the British Museum excavations there in 1911. These include previously published fragments that were considered lost, previously excavated fragments that were unpublished and a new fragment found in 2011 for the first time.
