Kaiser, Tania (2001) A beneficiary-based evaluation of UNHCR’s programme in Guinea, West Africa. Project Report. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR):
Abstract
his paper reports the findings of a UNHCR independent consultant who used participatory methodologies in an experimental evaluation that intended to canvass beneficiary views directly, focusing on the refugee-populated areas around Guekedou, Guinea. The document highlights beneficiary views of the Guinea programme for Sierra Leonean and Liberian refugees, including topics such as land, food security, prostitution, management issues, etc. It also discusses the beneficiary-based approach and its use of participation and consultation.
